David Kolton
Personal Trainer
David Kolton has been changing the lives of his personal training clients for over 15 years and has himself been involved in fitness for over 35 years.
As a fitness expert David has helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds. He helped clients understand the role nutrition plays in a healthy lifestyle. He helped clients pass the physical aptitude test for the Michigan State Police and the FBI. He helped clients with severe scoliosis decrease their pain level and increase flexibility. He helped children with Down Syndrome by creating safe and effective programs to make them stronger and leaner. He helped his client recovering from a double mastectomy increase range of motion in her chest and shoulders. He helped train clients for Spartan Races and half marathons. He has led countless seminars on topics including kettlebell technique, Olympic weightlifting, and nutrition. He has helped female clients dead lift over 300 pounds. Most importantly he has helped his clients lead a better quality of life. He can help you too.
“I enjoy helping people reach their goals and know that they are healthier and fitter for it! I am an avid learner and love taking classes and participating in continuing education seminars on a regular basis so I can be sure I’m the best I can be at helping others. Having a background in Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement provides me the knowledge of how to properly scale exercises up or down depending on the client’s need which is extremely important in both producing fast results and minimizing injury.” David coaches his clients on the principle that the human body was designed to move and it should move often.
David’s fitness journey started in high school as a wrestler but he soon found his passion in the weight room where in his senior year he set a bench press record which still stands to this day. When he was in college he worked on getting stronger and dabbled in bodybuilding. While in graduate school David started training for marathons and participated in 5k and 10k races and even completed a triathlon! After moving to Michigan he obtained a Personal Trainer position at Life Time Fitness where he was quickly promoted to “Master Trainer” and was placed in management. For eight years he found himself not only training his clients but also other trainers on how to become better at helping their clients get results! Now at GameChanger Athletics, David continues to help clients on a daily basis become better versions of themselves!
“There is nothing more rewarding than having a client achieve something they thought previously unattainable. The surge of confidence and personal satisfaction they find for themselves is truly incredible! I am honored and humbled to be a part of the process each and every time!”
